7075 T7351 aluminum plate is a high-strength aluminum alloy known for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio and outstanding fatigue resistance. It is widely used in applications that require both high mechanical performance and lightweight design.
The 7075 aluminum alloy achieves the T7351 temper through solution heat treatment, stress relief stretching, and artificial over-aging. This process stabilizes the material and improves its overall performance.
In the T7351 condition, stress relief treatment significantly reduces internal residual stress. This helps minimize warping and deformation during machining, making the plate well suited for precision machining applications. At the same time, the T7351 temper enhances resistance to stress corrosion cracking and improves long-term dimensional stability.
7075 T7351 aluminum belongs to the 7000 series Al-Zn-Mg-Cu high-strength aluminum alloys. It is recognized as a premium aerospace-grade aluminum material and is commonly used in demanding structural applications where strength, reliability, and stability are critical.
7075 T7351 plate offers very high strength, close to some low-carbon steels, while remaining much lighter. Through stress relief by stretching and over-aging treatment, it delivers more stable yield strength compared with standard 7075 T6 aluminum.
As an Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy, 7075 T7351 provides high load-bearing capacity without adding extra weight. This makes it ideal for applications where weight reduction is critical without sacrificing strength.
7075 T7351 performs well under cyclic and dynamic loads. The stress-relief process improves dimensional stability and reduces the risk of deformation during long-term use.
Compared with T6 and T651 tempers, the T7351 condition offers significantly better resistance to stress corrosion cracking (SCC) and environmental corrosion. Although its peak strength is slightly lower than 7075-T6/T651, the enhanced SCC resistance makes 7075 T7351 aluminum plate more reliable for long-term service in harsh conditions.
