7075 T6 aluminum sheet is a premium high-strength aluminum alloy known for its excellent fatigue resistance and outstanding mechanical performance. It belongs to the aluminum-zinc alloy family and typically contains 5.1%–6.1% zinc, 2.1%–2.9% magnesium, and 1.2%–2.0% copper, which together provide exceptional strength and durability.
Through solution heat treatment and artificial aging, 7075 t6 aluminum alloy reaches the T6 temper, delivering a tensile strength of approximately 570–600 MPa. After heat treatment, its mechanical strength is comparable to that of many conventional steels, while maintaining a significantly lower weight. This makes it an ideal material for applications where both strength and lightweight performance are critical.
Alclad 7075 T6 aluminum features a corrosion-resistant cladding layer combined with a high-strength core. With its superior toughness and reliability, it is widely recognized as a top-grade aerospace aluminum alloy, commonly used in aircraft structural components and other high-stress environments.
For thick aluminum plates or CNC machining applications, 7075 T651 plate is often the preferred choice. The T651 temper undergoes stress-relief stretching after heat treatment, which significantly reduces residual internal stress. As a result, it offers better dimensional stability, improved machining accuracy, and reduced risk of deformation during precision processing.
