5082 (UNS A95082, Al-Mg series) is a seawater corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy with a high magnesium content. 5082 aluminum tubes are suitable for shipbuilding, marine structures, chemicals, and industrial pipes and components that require good weldability and low-temperature toughness.
5082 aluminum tube is a marine-grade Al-Mg alloy known for its outstanding corrosion resistance, excellent weldability, and good strength-to-weight ratio. It is non-heat-treatable but can be strengthened through cold working. This alloy performs exceptionally well in seawater and harsh industrial environments, making it ideal for shipbuilding, offshore structures, chemical processing, cryogenic equipment, and pressure vessels.
Available in tempers such as O, H111, H112, and H116, 5082 aluminum tubes are typically produced as seamless or extruded types. Common outer diameters range from 2.5 mm to 250 mm with wall thicknesses from 0.3 mm to 40 mm. Surface finishes include mill finish, anodized, polished, or brushed, according to specific requirements. Manufactured in compliance with ASTM B241 and EN AW-5082 standards, 5082 aluminum tubes are widely chosen for marine and structural applications requiring light weight, durability, and superior corrosion resistance.

5082 aluminum tubes are widely used in applications that require excellent corrosion resistance, moderate strength, and superior weldability. As a marine-grade aluminum alloy, 5082 is especially suitable for shipbuilding, offshore platforms, and marine structural components, where resistance to seawater and salt spray is critical.
In addition to marine use, 5082 aluminum tubes are also applied in chemical processing equipment, pressure vessels, cryogenic tanks, heat exchangers, and transport systems such as pipelines and storage tanks for liquids and gases. Their good formability and strength-to-weight ratio make them ideal for architectural frameworks, automotive structures, and machinery components that demand both durability and lightweight performance.

5082 aluminum tube is a marine-grade, non-heat-treatable aluminum-magnesium alloy known for its excellent corrosion resistance, especially in seawater and marine atmospheres. It offers good weldability and moderate strength, making it suitable for structural and pressure-bearing applications.
This alloy maintains high toughness and ductility even at low temperatures, ensuring reliable performance in cryogenic or offshore environments. 5082 aluminum tube can be cold worked to increase strength, and is available in tempers such as O, H111, H112, and H116. It also provides good surface finish options, including mill finish, anodized, or polished forms.
Overall, 5082 aluminum tube combines lightweight, durability, and superior resistance to corrosion, making it a preferred material for marine, chemical, and structural industries.
